Estella Hewitt diaries

Seven diaries kept by Estella Hewitt from 1946-1973 documenting daily activities including cooking, cleaning, baking, social activities, playing organ at churches, and working at the Gilbert and Oliver Wolcott libraries. While the other volumes document daily life in Litchfield, the 1962 diary is a trip diary detailing a trip to England, France, Italy Holland, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium.

The Rebecca Hine Poetry Book (1924-29-0) is a collection of poems written or copied by Rebecca Hine while at the Pleasant Valley Boarding School near Poughkeepsie, New York from June 2nd, 1804 to Aug 8th, 1804. Some of the poems appear to be copied from another source because the author's name is provided, but there are other works that do not have a name attached to them. The poetry ranges from an excerpt from a work by Milton to a short story entitled "Female Choice."
