This series contains papers contains papers by, concerning, and collected by different members of the Woodruff, Seymour, Wolcott, and Gates families. The series reflects these individuals' personal interests: the papers of George C. Woodruff, for example, include many genealogical notes and notes on the history of Litchfield, while those of his father, Morris Woodruff, include his military appointments and a music book.
