Writes that she received his letters; gives instruction for domestic concerns; Mary Ann is attending school but Hannah cannot be compelled to go as she wishes to attend in Litchfield; rejoices that Miss Collins will keep in their street; notes death of Joshua Lathrop; notes the scheduled execution of a man at New London, that it is a "painful thing"; asks for news of the awakening; gives details of their feast.

Writes that all children are well except the baby who is teething; gives details of visiting and family life; notes having been at meeting all day; sends some musk mellon seeds and pepper.

Will send a letter via Mrs. Lanman; children are well excepting Frederick who appears better this morning and looks for "Papa." Mentions a visit to her cousin Jabez Huntington (1767-1848) whose wife Mary Landon Huntington died the previous month; notes his melancholy state and that of his children who were also unwell; makes plans for returning to Litchfield.
