Boardman writes from New Milford CT to comment about the implications of the House of Representatives’ vote to implement the Jay Treaty on Connecticut's western reserve claim; believes that the Jeffersonian opposition decided to abide by the treaty since they allowed the vote on its funding to come to the floor; the land claims of Connecticut residents to the western reserve is secure and a sale has already taken place in New Haven.
