The Martha Dwight Sturdevant Friendship Album (2010-379-0) is a bound album signed by Martha Denison's friends and fellow students at the Litchfield Female Academy circa 1821. Each person copied a poem or remembrance piece in the album and signed it with their name and town. Among the contributors to the album are the following LFA students: Sarah Gardiner, Mary Jane Weyman, Harriet Woodbridge, Martha Austin, Anna M. Perkins, Caroline Stevens, Matilda Brooke, Catherine King, Cecilia H. Lyman, Eliza King, Elizabeth Guion, and Henrietta Jones. This item is located in 3A Box 5a.

Biographical or Historical Information
Martha Dwight Denison Sturdevant was born in 1808 to Austin and Martha Dwight Denison of New Haven, Connecticut. While attending the Litchfield Female Academy from 1818-1822 she boarded at Miss Pierce's house.
