Scope and Contents
Florence Mayer Hunt Collection, 1992-58-0, consists of four letters written between 1862-1863 by Henry Vail to Libbie M. Gilbert of Milton, Connecticut. The collection also includes an envelope addressed in caligraphy to Mr. and Mrs. Stevens. The Civil War letters recount life in camp, where they are located, what men from his company have died, and what they are eating, along with some questions about friends in Milton.
