Inscribed on the inside front cover " T. Loveland Ledger A", this account book (1971-49-0) probably belonged to Theron J. Loveland, who lived in the Bantam section of Litchfield. Work done by Loveland included house painting, paper hanging, and graining. Currently housed in 3B Box 110.

Papers relating to Moses Lyman (1768-1844) of Goshen, Conn., consisting of a document related to the Litchfield and Canaan turnpike road, a land survey of Ivy Mountain, and an agreement with Benjamin Palmer to dismantle and rebuild his house. The Palmer agreement is four pages and quite detailed, specifying building materials and techniques, costs, and a schedule for completion.

Scope and Contents The Prof. Egbert Lyon's Trick Oxen Papers (1971-40-0) consist of six photographs and several promotional pieces and clippings advertising Prof. Lyon's trick oxen, Tim and Jim, and a history written by his daughter Celeste Bierce.  These oxen performed at agricultural fairs, including those in Harwinton and Danbury, Connecticut and at the Columbian Exposition.
