Samuel Lee, David Waterman, Peter Farnam & Ambrose Collins of Salisbury (Conn.) and Samuel Wadsworth and Tryal Tanner of Cornwall (Conn.) are managers of a Lottery granted by the Conn. General Assembly in Oct. 1792 for building a bridge across the Ousatonuck [Housatonic] River on the highway from Salisbury to Cornwall and are bound to Peter Colt, Treasurer of the state of Connecticut for 500 pounds.

Philip Hubbard military commission

Philip Hubbard's commission as Captain of a company in the 30th Regiment, commanded by Colonel Scamman, for the defense of American Liberty. Signed by John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, and Charles Thompson, Secretary for the Continental Congress and dated 1 July 1775. Capt. Hubbard (1718-1792) was from South Berwick, ME and commanded a company that included six of his sons. Some evidence suggests he was at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
