Scope and Contents
Writes from Washington, D.C. Notes the receipt of a letter from General Wadsworth including correspondence for Wolcott which he forwards; requests a list of all lands owned by him in the Western Reserve when Wolcott finishes compiling it. Reports a message from President Madison which included correspondence between Misters Foster and Monroe; from hearing it read once Tallmadge thought it a "clumsy performance"; details a conversation with the British Minister on the subject; believes the majority would go to war if they had the money or the men.
