Notes, 1793-1823
Folder 5
Scope and Contents
This bundle is unusual in that it contains notes of all different dates. They include authorization for Boardman to collect subscritpions and donations for the bishop's fund; several letters to Philo Ruggles regarding collection of debts in New York; a land conveyance for land in Vermont to be paid in cattle. Several of the notes in the bundle are copies of originals that were sent to Henry Seymour, Philo Ruggles, and others for collection. Some notes and correspondence regarding the establishment of the "Republican Farmer" newspaper in Danbury, Connecticut are also included. Another letter referencing collection of a note in 1814 makes reference to the blockade, dropping prices, and the capture of a British vessel.
