Scope and Contents
William Whiting Boardman (1794-1871) was a student at the Litchfield Law School in 11816-1817. The only date in these lecture notes is on page 323 of Vol. 5 and that is "July 1817". There are 5 volumes of law lecture notes by an unidentified student of the Litchfield Law School. Some of the topics in the volumes (numbers assigned by Litchfield Historical Society staff) are: Vol. I - Real property, execution and administration; Vol. 2 - Municipal law, Parent and Child, Contracts; Vol. 3 - Bailments, Actions, Trespass; Vol. 4 - Pleas and Pleadings; Vol. 5 - Law of Charter Party, Actions, Criminal Laws.
