Scope and Contents
Writes with concern for Mary Ann's health; will attempt to visit at the end of the week and gives prayers for her recovery. Reports on family and domestic matters as well as sermons and recent deaths. Notes that Colonel Tallmadge is to be married in New York and will bring his wife upon his return. Gives weather report and notes the freeze has killed his spring planting. His nieces Laura and Elizabeth Wolcott are to spend the summer at Middletown with Mrs. Alsop; expresses his fear that the girls are becoming wild.
