Scope and Contents
Writes to inform her that he will be delayed in coming to Norwich for her as his horse is unable to travel; if the horse does not improve he will hire one; expects that Elizabeth Stoughton Wolcott will return that day; is very disappointed not to be able to see his family; notes the good spring weather and the promising vegetation. Adds a postscript that he has discovered the horse's lameness is a result of loose shoes and gravel coming between the shoe and the foot; he will not be afraid to use him that week.
